SDBA-AUSTCHAM 10KM Dragon Boat Challenge 2009
SIM Dragons participted in the gruelling 10km long distance race, on 22nd August 2009, Saturday. Not just a first experience for the team, but also the juniors who joined us in July. It was definitely a good exposure and a great kickstart to their dragon boating life.
There was a tough battle in the water with boats crusing close together, resulting in inevitable hitting of paddles. Also, it was an exhausting battling against strong winds and turbulent waters. We managed a 17th position and aim to better our timing and position for the 10km race next year.
